4 Nights 5 Days Kashmir Package

Overview

Five days is enough to see all four places most people come to Kashmir for: Srinagar and Dal Lake, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg. This plan does it with one day for each, a private cab throughout, breakfast and dinner, and prices from ₹10,499 per person plus GST.

It is our usual suggestion for a first visit when the 3 nights 4 days package feels rushed but a week is too long. Families, friends travelling together and small groups can all use it, and the plan is customisable, so you can move a day or a night around before you book.

What the five days look like

Day one is light: the airport pickup, check-in and an optional Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Then come three full days out, one at a time. Gulmarg is about two hours from Srinagar, Pahalgam about three and Sonamarg roughly two and a half to three, so we never put two long drives on the same day.

Most nights are in Srinagar. On the Pahalgam day you either stay over in Pahalgam or come back to Srinagar, and your quote says which. Staying over means a slower evening by the Lidder river. Coming back means one hotel for the whole trip.

Who this trip suits

• Families with children: one long drive a day and a known hotel to come back to. Betaab Valley in Pahalgam is flat and easy for small legs.
• Budget travellers: the cab, stay, breakfast and dinner are in the price, so you only pay locally for the gondola, ponies, union cars and lunch. Ask us to list those on the quote.
• Groups and two families together: one bigger vehicle usually costs less per head than two cars. Tell us who is coming and we quote rooms and vehicle together.

Local costs to plan for

Three things are paid on the spot: the Gulmarg gondola, pony rides in Gulmarg and Sonamarg, and the local union cars that run to Betaab, Aru and Chandanwari in Pahalgam. At Sonamarg, Thajiwas glacier is a walk or a pony ride. None of these are in the package price, and that keeps the base price low for people who skip them.

Travelling from Delhi or another city

The trip starts and ends at Srinagar airport, so it works from any city with a flight. If you are starting in the capital, our Kashmir package from Delhi page covers flights and the train via Jammu and Katra. If you come by train, add a day each way.
