"Deluxe" is not a marketing adjective we invent on the phone. In trade language it sits at the top of the registered houseboat grades. Lower categories trade some comfort for a lower quote. Ask for:
- Photos of the same boat you will sleep on
- Number of guest rooms on that hull (so you are not sharing a corridor with a loud group)

Dal is closer to our Boulevard office and shops. Nigeen is often quieter after dark. Neither fact alone sets the rupee line; category and meals still dominate.
Houseboat Dal Lake price and meal plans (MAP / AP)
Meal codes are the same language hotels use:
- EP: room only
- CP: room + breakfast
- MAP: room + breakfast + dinner (common on boats)
- AP: room + breakfast + lunch + dinner
A MAP quote looks higher than EP for the same cabin because dinner is included. Compare like with like. Lunch is often on your own even when dinner is on the boat. Write the meal letters into your notes before you pay.
Season and heating: winter cost logic without invented fares
IMD Srinagar normals (1991-2020) show cold valley winters: December mean min about −1.6°C, January about −1.9°C, February about 0.7°C (IMD Srinagar city climatology). Peak winter weeks add heating demand and Christmas to New Year pressure. Some trade cards have historically listed heating as an extra daily room charge in winter.
